There seems to be a misunderstanding that technology is complex. It is in truth anything but complex; We are about simplicity, less is more so to speak. In order to achieve that simplicity, one has to make use of technology. It’s precision in our design and manufacturing process that makes our pie solutions work so well, particularly in our cold blocking system.

In any welding process, the high levels of focused heat required will destabilize the molecular structure of materials, upsetting this structure at molecular levels creates a great deal of stress and distortion, particularly in stainless steels and carbon steels. This makes welded assemblies very difficult to manufacture precisely without the addition of other costly processes and allowance of such processes in design and development.

Simply, to achieve weld strength in all weld-aments, we need to keep the inter-pass temperature to an optimum (The inter-pass temperature, defined as the base-material temperature when welding is to be performed between the first and last weld passes). To control the mechanical and microstructural properties of weld-aments, the inter-pass temperature is critical. Yield and ultimate tensile strengths of the weld metal depend greatly on inter-pass temperature.
